Oh, you fancy, huh?
Bluestem Brasserie is a swank new downtown affair, or at least it felt that way when we ran into
Da Former Mayor when we dipped in to check out the small but focused cocktail list at the restaurant. We settled on a Jane Deere (Makers 46, Coeur de Lion Calvados, passionfruit and pomegranate juices), a tipple so strong to our taste that it nearly knocked us off our banquette. It's "strong enough for a man, but made for a woman," like those old deodorant commercials, only more fragrant and fruity than the pits. Which may not very classy of us to say, but it's true. Drink up, now!
