Where: Galvez at Third St.

When: Sunday, June 12, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

Cost: Free

The rundown: Sunday Streets is happening in conjunction with the second annual Bayview Music Festival. There wil be live music, rollerskate rentals, health screenings, vendor booths, and playing in the streets without being run over by Hummer limos. But perhaps more importantly, there will be two food contests: one for a shrimp and grits cook-off, and another for the best church dessert. We're thinking about entering our famous vegan peach cobbler in the dessert contest but if we go through all the trouble of making it, we're eating the whole damn thing ourselves. Community building!

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
