The Rundown: Spring is in full bloom, and CUESA and the United States Bartenders' Guild are celebrating with another popular Farmers' Market Cocktail Happy Hours. Fresh off a 2011 SF Weekly Best Of award for "Best Place to Drink Farm-Fresh Cocktails," the event is bigger and better in every way -- from a dramatically larger space to more bountiful beverages. Ticket price includes three full-size cocktails and a dozen samples of Pacific Rim-inspired creations. It's a trip to the farmers' market and a bar crawl all in one!
Keep an eye out for Martin Cate and his enormous Volcano Bowl, complete with fiery eruptions. There will also be inspired drink creations by some of the best bartenders in the Bay Area, including Alicia Walton of Elixir, Brandon Josie of 15 Romolo, David Ruiz of Mr. Smiths/That's My Jam, Erik Adkins and Co. of Slanted Door/Heaven's Dog, Jeff Lyons and Ken Furusawa of Range, Kate Bolton of Michael Mina, Keli Rivers of Hotsy Totsy Club, Kevin Diedrich of Burritt Room, Kristin Almy of Bar Adagio, Matt Harrison of Delarosa, Martin Cate and Steven Liles of Smuggler's Cove, Michael Callahan of Azul, Peter Vestinos of Prospect, and Tony Devencenzi of Bourbon & Branch. Phew, that's quite a list.
And because you can't have a cocktail party without hors d'oeuvres, bites will be provided by 15 Romolo, Beretta/Delarosa, Ozumo, Slanted Door/Heaven's Dog, Sutro's at the Cliff House, and Venus/Revival.
Note: This event always sells out.
