Posted By on Tue, Apr 5, 2011 at 1:57 PM

Trendy South Indian Dosa has joined the wave of restaurants contributing to Japanese disaster relief, with a promotion called Tuesdays for Tokyo. Dine any Tuesday in April at either the Fillmore or Valencia Street locations and 100 percent of the profits will be donated to the JCCCNC's Northern Japan Earthquake Relief Fund.

This offer includes the restaurant's new monthly event that showcases menu additions, Discover Dosa (Fillmore location only). On Tue., Apr. 12, you'll be able to get a three-course dinner plus wine pairings for $60, including taxes and gratuity. Bonus: Three short films will screen. Tentative menus and schedule online, and buy tickets through Eventbrite. And don't forget ― all Tuesday proceeds this month are for a good cause.

Dosa on Fillmore: 1700 Fillmore (at Post), 441-3672

Dosa on Valencia: 995 Valencia (at 21st St.), 642-3672

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
