Another restaurant raising money for Japan quake relief: Nombe. Actually, Nombe started collecting donations last Saturday, day after the first full day of news about the tragedy broke over CNN. Co-owner Mari Takahashi says the Mission restaurant is designating one dish a day as a donation vehicle, contributing $3 from each sale to the Japan Consulate-General's earthquake relief fund. Today's dish: soy-marinated quail ($12). Past items included chicken wings (pictured) and tonkotsu ramen, Sadly, says Takahashi, there's no designated end date for the donation offer. "Things only seem to be getting worse," she says.

Nombe: 2491 Mission (at 21st St.), 681-7150.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
