Sat., Mar. 12:

New Taste Marketplace

St. Gregory of Nyssa Episcopal Church, 500 De Haro (at Mariposa), noon-5 p.m.

DRINK: SF Weekly's Beer, Wine, and Cocktail Tasting

Fairmont Hotel, 950 Mason (at California)2-4 p.m.

We're not saying it will necessarily end up a sweaty, staggering party, but the distinction you'll make at 7:30 between 21st Amendment's IPA and the one from Magnolia might just vanish by 8:30. Complete description here.

Early Spring Stag Dinner

Undisclosed location in the Mission, 7 p.m.; Also Sun., Mar. 13, at 5 p.m.

The latest Stag Dining Club dinner will feature pre-meal cocktails, organic and biodynamic wine selections, rabbit terrine, morcilla-stuffed squid, and more. Complete description here.

Sun., Mar. 13:

Eating About Beer's Winter Homebrew Dinner

CommonWealth Café and Public House, 2882 Telegraph (at 29th St.), Oakland, 7:30 p.m.

For its third drink-and-chew event, EAB's planned a winter menu with an apparently seamless connection between liquid and solid (beer-braised duck leg, bananas foster brulée, etc.) Complete description here.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
