Bay Wolf Staying Put, Hyde Away Blues BBQ Announces Itself

Posted By on Thu, Feb 17, 2011 at 7:25 AM

The past 24 hours in gossip, innuendo, and cold hard facts about the San Francisco restaurant scene.

Michael Bauer at the Chronicle reports that the 35-year-old Bay Wolf, which was reportedly considering an offer to buy the restaurant, is staying put. Owner Michael Wolf is instead starting up casual Monday-night dinners with Asian themes.

Tenderblog and Eater SF report on the opening of Hyde Away Blues BBQ (457 Hyde, Facebook page). The pitch: guess.

The Real Restaurant Group, says Eater SF, is bringing Bar Bocce to the Sausalito waterfront sometime in March. The pitch: bocce, a firepit, sourdough-crust pizza, roast chicken, winesicles. No, that last one is not a typo.

According to Inside Scoop, Claudio Ricciolini and his partners in 54 Mint are going to open a second restaurant in Concord (785 Oak Grove Drive) sometime in March. They're also looking for a space to house a bakery.

The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
