New Year's Eve at Bar Agricole

Where: Bar Agricole, 355 11th St. (at Harrison)

Cost: $60 for five courses

Why it's likely to be special: The space has the scale and drama that should be perfect for New Year's Eve, Brandon Jew's five-course menu (a bargain, btw) avoids the lobster-caviar clichés, and you know the drinks are gonna be drop dead

Menu highlights: gougères, artichoke barigoule, smoked goose with chestnut risotto, gingerbread with caramel apples

Reserve: Call 355-9400

The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
