The past 24 hours in gossip, innuendo, and cold hard facts about the

San Francisco restaurant scene.

Grub Street's Jay B. plucks a piece of data out of one of the Weekly's own news stories, which mentioned that Eskender Aseged's permanent Radio Afrika restaurant (4800 Third St.) should open "early next year." Go, Jay B.! Us, we stick to the horoscopes and the escort ads.*

The good Paolo L. at Inside Scoop reports that the building that houses Paragon has been sold to the San Francisco Police Officer's Association. (Wait, does that make it a snitch?) No changes are planned -- just don't get up to any funny business in the bathrooms.

Eater SF's Carolyn A. confirms rumors that the team behind Tipsy Pig and Mamacita is opening a burger shop at 2198 Filbert. It has no name and no projected opening date yet.

Encountering covered-over windows and disconnected lines, Eater SF makes the call: Dragonfly (420 Judah) is down.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
