This morning, though, Inside Scoop's Paolo L. jolts to life with news that Four Barrel is launching a satellite in boutiquey The Common (1077 Mission). Of course, you can't swing a sentence about a microroastery these days without referencing the Blue Bottle burn, and Paolo obliges with a jab that lands with the force of a double espresso. Zing!
Showing more restraint, Eater's Carolyn A. notices that Rec and Park has released a call for food-vendor proposals for the Lake Merced Boathouse without once mentioning Dolores Park. Now, Lake Merced is about as far from the Mission as you can get, geographically and stylewise, but still: commercialization of city parkland is commercialization of city parkland. Blue Bottle opponents? Your move, bros.
