SFoodie's Friday click-post of San Francisco chefs who rate as hot in every sense of the word, clocked by our ever-vigilant, ever-ogling readers.

Chef? Robyn Sue Goldman squirms a bit when you mention the word. The owner of Smitten Ice Cream defers to what she calls her team, Carey Jones, Andrew Shaw, and Robyn Lyn Lenzi, who's worked for Emily Luchetti. Goldman is more visionary than culinary ― she spent a couple of years and all her savings developing Kelvin, a liquid nitrogen ice cream maker capable of freezing a batch in 60 seconds. Goldman recently shlepped Kelvin to the SF Weekly offices via Radio Flyer for a demo of pointedly tangy lemon-gingersnap ice cream.

Goldman's used to shlepping, In 2009, she launched Smitten on the underground wave of Mission street food, but she's poised to give up wandering. Smitten is slated as the first business to open in the Envelope A+D-designed Proxy Project in Hayes Valley, repurposed shipping containers configured in a vendor streetscape that'll eventually include Ritual, Delfina, and Suppenküche. Expect a December opening. And don't worry: Smitten's space will have heaters, though Goldman generates plenty of heat all by herself.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
