Arizmendi Bakery officially opened its doors for full business at 7 a.m. today; no more freebie cheese rolls for you. A worker/co-owner at the collectively owned bakery emporium joked to SFoodie "we're early birds," while overseeing the pastries and coffee drink orders. There are two tables set up for dining, and the space is light-filled, clean, and busy on the first day.

Standard greeting for guests is usually, "Hello, welcome to Arizmendi. How may I help you?" Guests seemed to know the drill of how to select and serve themselves the assorted scones, muffins and rolls. Large coffee and a millet muffin will run you four bucks.

Arizmendi Bakery, 1268 Valencia Street (at 24th).

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
