No Ticket to BlogHer Food 2010? You Can Still Take Part

Posted By on Thu, Oct 7, 2010 at 11:55 AM

Over the next couple of days San Francisco plays to the second annual BlogHer Food conference, headquartered at the gorgeous InterContinental and featuring a jam-packed schedule. Big-name food bloggers will be speaking (Food Gal Carolyn Jung, Steamy Kitchen's Jaden Hair), including SFoodie's own Sean Timberlake of Punk Domestics. If you don't already have tickets (they've been sold out for quite awhile) you aren't completely S.O.L. Here are some events you could crash:

• Get a virtual conference pass, ranging from $20- to $40.

• Join the #BHF10PP, which stands for the "BlogHer Food 2010 Pity Party," for those who can't attend. We don't really get it, but we know it involves not showering, staying in pajamas, and hashtagging on Twitter to get prizes ... sounds pretty good to us, actually.

• The Bay Area Food Bloggers will be hosting a Sunday picnic in Dolores Park after the event It should be a good time, with sun, drinks, potluck food, and a perfect view of the Fleet Week air show above.

In fact, this weekend means that San Francisco will be filled with smart and scrumptious women food bloggers, their gay BFFs, and hot men in uniform. A complete win-win ― you could score even without tickets to the conference.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
