  • Only question we hoped the show would answer: Why is Eric Ripert so hot?
Top Chef Season 7 wrapped up last week, and this week, Bravo aired the reunion show. It was a fairly boring season, and sadly, the reunion didn't bring any more excitement. A reunion is only as good as its family, and when the only marketable topic is a pea purée controversy, a show has very little hope. ... If only we had head spinning and split-pea-soup vomit to discuss instead.

The *highlights*:

• Learning that the winner, Kevin, was the Salvador Dali of plating.

• The number one question, besides what makes Eric Ripert so hot: Did Alex steal the pea purée? We checked our TiVo ― a good 4 minutes were dedicated to the scandal. That is a lot of time; try saying "pea purée" five times fast. Ed was wearing a T-shirt that said: "Where's My Pea Purée?!?!" Peagate Scandal 2010.

• Amanda vouched for Alex, but no one really believed her. After all, how can anyone listen to what she has to say? We are all to busy playing the "Is that a mole or herpes on her lip?" game.

• Bravo presented Kenny with a "Beast in the Kitchen" T-shirt. Then Kenny lifted up his shirt and revealed that he has a tattoo that says, "Beast of the Kitchen." We hope the permanent phrase is the correct one.

• Angelo was compared to a CIA spy and said, "I am not necessarily the dog that just humps the leg, I take a look at which leg I want to hump, and then I hump it."

• We learned that these Top Chef contestants were the biggest pranksters ever. Shocker! They Saran-Wrapped toilets, and in Jim torturing Dwight fashion they also Saran-Wrapped all of a fellow contestant's belongings.

The closing moments brought the announcement of Top Chef All-Stars. We need this why? Because Masters and Just Desserts just aren't enough. Eater has the full list of All-Star contestants. (We're rooting for Jamie Lauren and her pouty lips!) So while Top Chef Season 7 and the reunion show were both boresville, we're stoked on All-Stars. See ya, commoner contestants!

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
