The pitch: Tammy Tan will be selling 100 familiar and exotic spices, available prepackaged and by weight, as well as salts and custom spice blends.
Paolo L. of Inside Scoop reports a) that we all missed the opening of Miam Miam Lounge (5856 College, 510-685-1500, www.miammiamlounge.com), a design shop and ice cream store in Rockridge; b) that it looks like the set from Tim Burton's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory; c) that the owners are introducing crepes such as one with pork shoulder, grilled pineapple, and cilantro mousse.
