'Tis the season: Good Foods Catering's Dontaye Ball, a Best Of winner for roaming barbecue, has gotten his meat hooks in a bunch of fruits. Known for his all-bacon dinners, Ball has selected tomatoes as the theme for his forthcoming six-course dinner. These events, which fall under his Urban Kitchen banner, are fairly intimate and social affairs that facilitate meeting new people along with the new bites.

Actually, fear not, carnivores, for bacon still makes cameos on this menu. And so does pork belly:

• Pa amb tomàquet (Catalonian-style snack bread)

• Two Dog dry farmed tomato bread soup with bacon, cream, and herbs

• Tomatero organic heirloom tomato and fresh mozzarella salad

• Local clams with fried Early Girl tomato sauce and pork belly

• Seared flatiron steak with smoked tomato and crispy fried potatoes

• Almond butter cake with tomato ice, aged balsamic vinegar, and caramelized tomato

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
