Save the date for a weekend of Bay views punctuated by chocolate nibbles, sweets, wine, and music. The 15th Annual Ghirardelli Square Chocolate Festival lays out its temptations later this month, Sept. 11-12. Proceeds benefit Project Open Hand.

What to expect: ice cream sundae-eating contests (both kids and adults), chef demos from Kara's Cupcakes, American Cupcake, Scott Broccoli of The Pub (he's got a BBQ chocolate dish planned), and Marché in Menlo Park. For those seeking deeper chocolate understanding, Steve Genzoli from the Ghirardelli Chocolate Company will deliver a talk called "From Cocoa Bean to Chocolate Bar." Live music by Dave Costa and the Magnolia Jazz Band, and rounding out the bill, a special chocolate tea menu at neighboring Crown and Crumpet Tea Salon.

Fifteenth Annual Ghirardelli Square Chocolate Festival

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
