That Guy's Fries hit the streets in October 2009 with sizzling hot oil, frying up potatoes near founder Christopher Hermelin's Dolores Park apartment. "That Guy's Fries was born out of 1001 sleepless nights . . . unhealthy eating habits and a heck of a lot of 370 degree cooking oil," Hermelin wrote on his website.

A few appearances at Precita Park and the Outside In street-food events later, and it had seemingly vanished as quickly as it appeared. Hermelin's day job as an educator is now taking him out of state, and he'd like to sell the cart, fry-making supplies, and the name. He hasn't set a price for the gear, but is open to offers; direct them to thatguysfries@gmail.com. While the open-air frying setup isn't going to earn any official green lights from the city, we're certain it'd be a big hit at parties.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
