What's the State of Local Pavement Cuisine? Sound Bites from the SF Street Food Festival

What's it like to start a food business in San Francisco when you don't have a pack of investors eager to write checks? That's the question hanging over the crowds at Saturday's 2010 SF Street Food Festival in the Mission. Between bites, video producer Jason Jurgens and I buttonholed chefs, the astute food writer John T. Edge, and La Cocina executive director Caleb Zigas to gauge the health of grassroots food in San Francisco.
