A Fire Inside, an underground vegan bakery run by David Surcamp, is soliciting donations via Kickstarter in hopes of opening a brick and mortar location in the East Bay, reports Vegansaurus. Surcamp is looking for a total of $35,000. He's offering some heartfelt thank-you gifts to those who donate, including food freebies, T-shirts, and hugs (Surcamp is supposedly awesome at hugs).

"But not just any bakery," he writes on his Kickstarter page. "I'm building the brick oven with my bare hands, and let me tell you, having built one of these before, mortar absolutely ravages bare hands, and I have ladylike hands."

Surcamp's "Weekend Ruiners," or gigantic cinnamon rolls, get the Vegansaurus stamp of approval.

"Those massive balls of sugary dough topped with an orange-y cream cheese concoction were one of the absolute best things I've ever eaten," writes Mr. Penguino. "And I've eaten, folks. I've eaten."

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
