New Date, Menu for Hapa SF Pulutan Pop-Up at La Victoria

Way back in June, we reported on plans for a Hapa SF pop-up dinner at La Victoria. The original date was tonight, August 6. Now, says Hapa's William Pilz, the actual date is Saturday, August 14. Pilz has also honed his menu of pulutan offerings. (Pulutan: Filipino drink snacks, like izakaya dishes.) Remember, no reservations, but there'll be three seatings (5, 7, and 9 p.m.), and as far as beer and wine go, it's strictly BYOB. Questions? The menu, which is subject to change:

Sinigang: tamarind-infused vegetable broth

Nuts: adobo seasoned

Dilis: crispy small fish

Lumpia Shanghai

Sisig: thrice-cooked Long and Bailey Pork, jalapeño, lime, soy, and shallot

Ukoy: Star Route Farms beet and mackerel fritter, spiced vinegar

Kinilaw: Monterey Market fish, seasonal fruit, citrus marinade

Skewer: Soul Food Farms chicken, coconut-infused adobo

Adobo: leg and thigh in Hapa's classic marinade

Pinakbet: Filipino ratatouille (vegan ― shrimp on the side)

Sinangag: garlic fried rice

Longaniza; naked pork sausage balls

Cassava shortcake: market fruit, whipped coconut cream

Turron beggar's purse: TCHO chocolate, bananas

Ube Flan
