La Cocina just announced the winners of CartSpotting, its contest to let eaters choose which additional street-food vendors they'd like to see at the SF Street Food Festival on August 21. The results, chosen from a slate of 50: The Whole Tortilla, Hapa SF, Adobo Hobo, The Gumbo Cart, Brass Knuckle, Chairman Bao, Good Foods Catering, and Lumpia Cart.

La Cocina's Caleb Zigas says the winning vendors ― assuming all say yes ― will appear in two blocks. Hapa SF, Adobo Hobo, Lumpia Cart, and Chairman Bao would hawk from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on August 21; The Whole Tortilla, Gumbo Cart, Brass Knuckle, and Good Foods from 3 to 7 p.m.

Congrats to the winners.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
