Bob's Broiler Papered Over

Posted By on Tue, Jul 20, 2010 at 11:46 AM

Well, not anymore.
  • Well, not anymore.
SFoodie snapped this photo of Bob's Broiler (1601 Polk, at Sacramento) yesterday. The diner has been there since the dawn of civilization, or at least a few decades, though we confess we never ate there (Bob's Donuts, up the block, however... ). A Yelper reported in late June that the diner had been sold and was about to be renovated; we can't yet find any record online of the sale, the renovation, or the new name. If you have any information, let us know.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
