Also busy: Anthony Myint and Danny Bowien, who rolled out Mission Chinese Food last night. Check out Tamara Palmer's pop review.
Camper
E. at Alcademics reports on yet another great bartender who's abandoning his customers to become a "brand ambassador" for booze labels. This time
it's Erick Castro from Rickhouse, who's going to sign treaties
and negotiate arms deals for Plymouth and Beefeater gins. SFoodie
doesn't want to be anyone's brand ambassador, but we would like
diplomatic immunity for a few of the things we've done under the influence (of Beefeater, in particular).
And another two pieces of intel we regret to pass on: Jay
B. at Grub Street hears that City Kebab (1338 Polk) has
closed. A commenter
on Mission Mission confirms that Cafe Prague (2140 Mission)
has followed its North Beach predecessor into the beyond.
