Yesterday, a little bird ― not, incidentally, one that had been brined, fried, and dunked in chile sauce and served up in a sleek, stylish setting ― told us a rumor we hadn't already heard: The fryer-happy fraternity behind popular Richmond District Korean-fusion eatery Namu is supposedly planning to open an izakaya-vibed establishment at an undisclosed location in the Mission District. According to our source ― who might very well have been wronger than a soggy just-before-closing three-piece from Popeye's ― the Lees are looking to stay open late and serve up dishes that go well with drinks, along with plenty of drinks to keep folks eating. Vrai or faux? Reckon we'll find out.

The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
