Our favorite morsel from the blogs.

S.F.-based content community HubPages is opening the throttle for its Eat, Drink, and Be Hubbalicious Contest, which starts June 1. Here's the deal: Every day for four weeks, HubPages will announce a different food-related topic. You can post up to five feeds, or Hubs, on the given topic. Here's how HubPages describes it:

As the name suggests, the contest is all about writing Hubs with useful information on various food-related topics. From recipes to ingredient guides, global cuisines, and kitchen techniques, we're presenting a new topic every day to see if your culinary writing skills pass mustard muster.
Every day, HubPages will assess the winners, and dole out swag. Oh, and the judges? I'll be one of four, looking for what HubPages calls "engaging writing, accurate information and excellent presentation." Scroll through the rules and daily topics at HubPages' contest page. Good luck. And bring it.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
