For that immediate post-work Cinco de Mayo crush, hit up Pisco Latin Lounge, which is within stalking distance of both Hayes Valley and the Castro. It's gay-friendly, and tends to attract stylish, non-age-specific types of all genders. There's generally a welcoming vibe for anyone who chooses to drape themselves on the low, sexy sofas in back, or saddle up to the bar seats. If you're, say, a mid-to-late 30s lady or gent who likes to doll up a little, you'll do fine here. Tomorrow's Cinco de Mayo happy hour deal is loooong, including $5 tequila sours and margaritas from 5 p.m. to midnight. Small Latin bites (we don't mean your date's neck) from chef-owner James Schenk will also be available.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
