Duboce Park Cafe gets Carrot-ized.
  • Duboce Park Cafe gets Carrot-ized.
Carrotmob, a periodic event rewarding businesses that make a commitment to our fair planet, sets its benevolent sights on Duboce Park Cafe this weekend. The concept is to bombard these places with a big burst of customer action during a concentrated time period, and a portion of the proceeds (in DPC's case, 50 percent) go toward green improvements in the business.

A nationwide effort, Carrotmob is locally organized by Rebecca Prozan, a candidate for City Supervisor of District 8. Seems like a worthy place to direct those weekend coffee dollars. Details after the jump.

Event details:

Carrotmob

Date: Sun., April 25, 2-5 p.m.

Location: Duboce Park Cafe, 2 Sanchez (at Duboce)

Cost: Free (bring money for food/drinks)

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
