Like spring baseball, outdoor barbecue is sensitive to rain delays. Though Town Hall had hoped to restart its weekday al fresco barbecue today, the threat of rain killed the restaurant's plans. Town Hall's Colleen Booth says they'll try again tomorrow, from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., in the plaza behind the restaurant. (Check Town Hall BBQ's Twitter feed for the latest). For the first few days, Booth says, expect the basics: St. Louis ribs, fried chicken sandwich, and the sausage sandwich, made this year with house-made andouille in place of brought-in Calabrese. New(ish) Town Hall chef Vernon Morales is said to have lots of new sandwich ideas for the out of doors.

Starting up tomorrow (probably):

Town Hall BBQ In the plaza behind 342 Howard (at Fremont), weekdays 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
