Eater SF has a new editor, SFoodie blogger Carolyn Alburger. She'll replace Paolo Lucchesi, who left the local restaurant news and gossip site in February to join Chron's food staff. Alburger's a fine choice, if we do say so ourselves. Six years ago, she helped get DailyCandy off the ground in S.F. As a freelancer, she's snagged bylines at the Chronicle, San Francisco magazine, SF Station, Where, and, well, here, among other publications. "I've admired Eater since its New York days," Alburger told us, "and hope to carry on the great tradition of the site." Needless to say, Alburger's new gig means she's exiting SFoodie. We'll miss her, and we wish her the best of luck at that other URL.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
