Our favorite morsel from the blogs.

Guy cuisine: Honestly? Utter the phrase "man-tested recipe" and we think of the rabbit fricassee a guy we knew named Tom used to cook for guys he was interested in bagging, the pearl-onion-studded centerpiece of some formal seduction ritual.

Of course, the man-tested recipes an eponymous user recipe site has started soliciting could include rabbit fricassee, but we get the feeling the startup is more interested in a database of firehouse chilis and bourbon-glazed rib racks, the culinary equivalent of the slappy man hug. Seattle-based Man Tested Recipes wants national contributors possessed of xy chromosomes and prized formulas for stuff like Irish beef stew with Guinness, or something called "Tabascofied Dover sole fillets with poblano pepper cream sauce." Grrr. The site's also hosting a contest, which promises $500 for what it deems the "best dude food recipe." By "best," we're pretty sure Man Tested Recipe's Editor_Seth means tastiest, in some chunky, spicy, Fieri-esque, or inevitably on-the-bone way. Though really, again and again, Tom's fricassee of rabbit proved it could pass the manliest test of all: the sloppy sofa hookup.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
