Long a fragrant, flavorful part of the Saturday Ferry Plaza Farmers' Market, Eatwell Farm of Dixon (near Vacaville) has branched out with a separate booth for beverages. According to the Drinkwell Soda Facebook page, celebrity samplers of the farm's priobiotic drinks include Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Tyra Banks. Well, both tasted them before we did, but that doesn't dampen our enthusiasm for Drinkwell's take on the healthy soda, lacto-fermented with whey and sweetened with fruit or evaporated cane juices. Flavors change each week, though the rose geranium one we like seems to make frequent appearances. Drinkwell is also experimenting with a Blue Bottle coffee version, hopefully soon to come.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
