Mickey D's quietly rolled cult favorite Shamrock Shake into several S.F. stores last week. The seasonal vanilla "milkshake" mixed with green mint syrup was introduced in 1970 to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. Now it's available this time every year (small/medium/large, $2.59/$2.79/$2.99), but only in certain markets. We seem to remember the Shamrock skipping the Bay Area for several years ― last year only a few random McDonald's around the bay sold it to lucky fans for a couple of days before completely selling out, so if you have a craving for this old-time minty favorite, check your nearest McDonald's now. The pictured shake came from the Bryant and Sixth Street location ― we hear that both the Van Ness and Ocean Avenue stores currently have it. Are we missing any? Let us know.

Shamrock Shake sightings:

SOMA McDonald's 820 Bryant (at Sixth St.), 864-5282

Civic Center McDonald's 600 Van Ness (at Golden Gate), 441-8890

Ingleside McDonald's 1201 Ocean (at Brighton), 585-8697

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
