No doubt Saveur's achingly vivid photos and travelog-tinted editorial has inspired more than one food lover to turn a Flickr cache of vacation photos into a blog. Now, in its first annual Best Food Blog Awards, Saveur is returning the love. Readers can vote for their food-blog faves in nine categories: Best Culinary Travel Blog, Best Individual Post, Most Innovative Video Content ― find the full list here, plus a link to the e-ballot. As far as we can see, the only local blogs nominated for the Big Nine is Becks & Posh for Best Regional Cuisine and Vinography for Best Wine Blog. But you'll find shout-outs to plenty of other local blogs by clicking on the Best of the Web "Sites We Love," with its Saveur click count (SF Weekly: three).

Happy voting.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
