Meet the Krunch Bar for the New Age: Chocolate with Puffed Quinoa

While flax seeds continue to find their way into chocolate bars in an attempt to make them healthy, a local fair-trade company has already moved on. San Francisco-based Alter-Eco has created Midnight Crunch, a dark chocolate bar studded with whole quinoa, a complete protein. Fortunately, puffed quinoa tastes remarkably like Rice Krispies. Try saying that about flax seeds.
