Our favorite morsel from the blogs.

Bun fusion: At Mission Mission, Burritojustice guest-laments S.F.'s lack of JapaDog, Vancouver's multicart street-food phenom, featuring hot dogs sexed up with maki fixins: teriyaki, seaweed, edamame, okonomiyaki sauce, grated daikon, and so on (yeah, bj was there for the Olympics). Considering San Francisco hasn't quite landed the Korean taco, it might be premature to expect Mission vendors to nail the Spicy Cheese Terimayo, but it can't keep us from going all aspirational. In fact, lovable old Pal's tweaked the JapaDog last week, though an assessment by Mission Mission commenter hot dog eater was measured at best. Still, considering that two out of seven winning pushcart food vendors in city parks will hawk dogs, it might be time for San Francisco to bust out more than the bacon wrap. And since it looks like Annie's Hot Dog's will be compelled to move out of Golden Gate Park's band shell concourse and relocate behind the band shell itself -- just opposite the entrance to the Japanese Tea Garden -- what could be more apt than a Kurobuta hot dog topped with fried cabbage and bonito flakes?

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
