Coming soon to a dome near you: the launch party for Dine About Town 2010. The citywide budget dining promotion runs Jan. 15-31, but to get things rolling, Dine About Town is hosting a kickoff bash under the Westfield San Francisco Centre dome (845 Market at Fourth St.) on Jan. 13. Eats, special vodka cocktails, and DJs, starting at 6 p.m., but since the food and drink are only promised "while supplies last," we suggest arriving on the early side. Tickets are $20, with proceeds going to Meals on Wheels. Advance tix necessary.

Over 100 restaurants are taking part in Dine About Town 2010. The promo features $17.95 lunches and $34.95 dinners at places such as 1300 on Fillmore, Dosa Valencia, Fifth Floor, and Waterbar. Not all restaurants offer promo pricing for lunch and dinner, so be sure to check before dining.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
