Our favorite morsel from the blogs.

Cheer in a bowl: Nope, it's not some Urban Dictionary phrase for masturbating, or the consequences of a cleric getting struck by lightning. Smoking Bishop is a drink, blogs Denise Santoro Lincoln at Bay Area Bites. A drink that, in the Dickens novelette A Christmas Carol -- and in one of the film versions -- the crusty old tightass Scrooge drinks, post-redemption, with Bob Cratchit. Though, honestly: We think it'd make a fine euphemism for something altogether nastier than a sweet Christmas tipple. Anybody feel like getting busy on Urban Dictionary?

Merry Christmas, everybody!
