You've had plenty of the other kind: mayo-sticky, barely warm tuna salad, sugary with pickle relish, under a faintly greasy wad of tangy cheddar. And if you're in a diner someplace where line-caught albacore is as alien as the notion of single payer, it's not the worst tuna melt you've ever eaten.

But get to Anchor & Hope today, where the tombo tuna melt with Fontina cheese makes going back to the diner kind more or less unappetizing. Like eggnog from the carton. Sure, you'll have to hit the ATM on the way to the restaurant (it's a $13 sandwich) But you know you totally deserve it.

Anchor & Hope 83 Minna (at Second St.), 501-9100

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
