Oakland's Mariposa Baking Company (5427 Telegraph at 55th St.), purveyor of fine gluten-free baked goodies, has opened a kiosk in San Francisco's Ferry Building (1 Ferry Plaza at the Embarcadero). While it doesn't have as extensive a stock as the original warehouse outpost, there's still a more than fair selection of muffins, brownies, cookies, cakes, bread, bagels, and even refrigerated fresh pasta, pizza, pizza crusts, and focaccia. All are gluten-free and many are also dairy- and wheat-free, though we can report that the chocolate chip cookies, in particular, are good enough to please even committed gluten eaters.

Mariposa's S.F. kiosk is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
