We feel healthier already. Tomorrow, for his 95th birthday, locally spawned ancient fitness guru Jack LaLanne gets his very own day at John's Grill (63 Ellis at Powell). According to SF City Dish, show up to toast LaLanne with a $.95 glass of wine, which comes with a salad of Dungeness crab, seasonal greens, shrimp, avocado, mushrooms, tomato, and blue cheese dressing (available from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.).Take in a special push-up contest hosted and judged by the sprightly LaLanne, followed by lunch. Tomorrow's lunch is billed as "star studded" -- local fitness instructors will be on hand to aid LaLanne (a San Francisco native) with the push-up contest. No word on whether LaLanne will eat birthday cake. At his 90th birthday bash at John's Grill, the Chronicle reported he had mango sorbet with fruit instead. We're wondering if he put it all through a Power Juicer first.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
