Mmmm, beefalicious! This Monday, July 27, at 6 p.m., chef-huntress Traci Des Jardins (just back from her trip to Outer Mongolia -- we're not kidding) will make an in-house appearance for a bovine-centric dinner at Jardiniere (300 Grove at Franklin) to highlight San Francisco-based Estancia, which raises grass-fed beef in Uruguay. Estancia CEO Bill Reed will also appear. The three-course dinner is $45 including wine pairings, part of Jardiniere's recurring Monday night prix-fixe dinner series. Reservations can be made online or by calling the restaurant at 861-5555. Beef-eaters, should you need more tempting, here's a peek at le menu:

Picadas, chorizo, marinated hearts of palm, housemade farmers' cheese, and tapenade

Asado, roasted Estancia skirt steak, Brentwood corn empanada, summer squash, and

smoked pimentón chimichurri

Alfajores, shortbread cookies, tapioca cream, summer stone fruit, and dulce de leche

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
