Let's do lunch:

Get a taste of North Beach, even when you don't have out-of-town guests kipping on your futon. SF Weekly restaurant critic Meredith Brody likes the insalate caprese and arrosto-of-the-day foccacine sandwiches at L'Osteria del Forno (519 Columbus at Union, 982-1124).

Drink therapy:

Party like you're in some Cabo resort, only with better eats and without all those tropical-print shirts. Check out the happy hour scene at La Mar Cebicheria Peruana (Pier 1.5 on The Embarcadero, 397-8880), 4-6 p.m.

Dink in the classic San Francisco ambience at Fresno prices: A buck off drafts and well drinks (not to mention perennial $3 cans of Hamm's) at Elixir (3200 16th St. at Guerrero, 552-1633), 3-7 p.m.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
