Let's do lunch:

The summer weather pattern means it'll no doubt be moist and gray in the Sunset, but you can dispel the fog with the avocado falafel sandwich at Sunrise Deli (2115 Irving at 22nd Ave., 664-8210), SF Weekly food critic Meredith Brody's nosh pick.

Drink therapy:

Do some off-site multitasking (budget cocktail in hand) during the mid-afternoon happy hour at Perry's Embarcadero (155 Steuart St. at Mission, 222-7115), 3-6:30 p.m.

It's semi-dark, semi-narrow, and -- if you get there before 8 - semi-affordable. Score five-buck well drinks at SOMA standby Wish (1539 Folsom at Norfolk, 278-9474).

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
