Sweet Beat: Charlotte's Confections' Peanut Butter Caramel Twists

These addictive chews were spotted at Faletti Foods (308 Broderick at Fell), a gourmet grocer with discerning aisles filled with local and organic products. Charlotte's Confections was an unfamiliar brand, but a little digging revealed that it's actually the wholesale end of Shaw's of Millbrae (1395 El Camino Real at Millwood; there's also a San Francisco location on 122 W Portal at Vicente). Shaw's has entranced several generations of children in the city and on the Peninsula with its old-fashioned dedication to the sweetest of treats, and this product is a strong representative of the company's quality.
