I've said it before, and I'll say it again: You cannot go wrong with a date that involves massive amounts of chocolate. To that end, the 13th Annual Ghirardelli Square Chocolate Festival is coming up this weekend, September 6 and 7, from noon to 5 p.m. Highlights include the Earthquake Ice Cream Sundae Eating Contest; a chocolate-making demonstration (and, perhaps more importantly, tasting) by master chocolatier Ann Czaja; cupcake making and decorating secrets from Kara Lind, owner and creator of Kara's Cupcakes; and the - to my mind - main event: a wine and chocolate pairing seminar. Tickets range between $10 and $20, depending on your appetite. Order tickets online here.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
