For months, the Charles Chocolates factory in Emeryville has planned to show Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on Friday as the final and most appropriate installment of its summer movie series. But in an exciting twist of fate, the evening will now be a double-feature and screen the original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory as well. Proprietor Chuck Siegel won't be serving fizzy lifting drinks, but he will have his sinfully rich hot chocolate and caramel corn at the ready, fueling the buzz for the inevitable Johnny Depp vs. Gene Wilder debates. The show starts at 9 p.m. and is free; RSVP here. -- Tamara Palmer

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
