Italian Pop Saturdays At Bar Bambino: Now Stiletto Safe!

Posted By on Wed, Aug 13, 2008 at 1:25 PM

One of my very favorite Italian joints in town Bar Bambino Cafe & Wine Bar (2931 16th St. at Capp) in the Mission is launching what looks to be a fun weekend party: Italian Pop Saturdays. The kickoff happens this Saturday, August 16, from noon to 2:00 p.m. They're showing off their renovated "stiletto-heel safe" back patio with cocktails by the carafe, crostini bites, and loads of Italian pop music. While I can't vouch for the music, the booze and food will probably make just about anything sound good. For more info. call 415-701-8466.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
