Word has it that the Union Square Morton's Steakhouse (400 Post at Powell) launched a nifty little Carnivore Happy Hour special: free steak sandwiches with the purchase of a drink at the bar. And they're not talking about some crappy ground beef patty or tougher-than-rubber cut, it's filet mignon. Fancy. If they want to waste expensive cuts on drunk deal-seekers, that's their prerogative. I'm just saying. Check it out Monday through Friday, 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. For more info. call 415-986-5830.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
