Science Proves That Double-Dipping Is Saliva-licious

Posted By on Tue, Feb 5, 2008 at 9:00 AM

It's official: double-dipping is gross. The Journal of Food Safety will publish a study this year (admittedly Seinfeld-inspired) confirming that "three to six double dips transferred about 10,000 bacteria from the eater’s mouth to the remaining dip."

Prof. Paul L. Dawson, the food microbiologist who headed the study, sums up the results nicely:

"The way I would put it is, before you have some dip at a party, look around and ask yourself, would I be willing to kiss everyone here? Because you don’t know who might be double dipping, and those who do are sharing their saliva with you."

Now Playing: Snoop And Larry Do Chicken And Waffles

Posted By on Tue, Feb 5, 2008 at 9:00 AM

Does TV talk get any better than this? Snoop Dogg takes Larry King out for chicken and waffles at Roscoe's. Snoop orders for the both of them: waffles (for shizzle), three chicken wings, grits, one egg white and a fluffy biscuit with grape jelly. Then Snoop makes up a new word.

Larry King: "Egg yellow is cholesterol."

Snoop Dogg: "Exesterol."

Then, weirdly, Larry King leaves without finishing his waffle, but apparently him and Snoop are tight. So it's all cool.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
